In Japan, most house wives make lunch boxes for their small children.
Some wives who have extra time for cooking, they make special
character bento box for their lovely children.
30 years ago, when I saw American children 's lunch box,
I almost fainted away with their menu such as one apple, poor sandwich and a couple cookies.
Even 30 years later, not so much difference with American children' s lunch.
I love to live in America, but one thing I am so happy as a Japanese because we have so much abundant in eating habit and food life.
I would like to do something "revolution" for American children 's eating habit.
I made some character bento boxes for my best friend's grandson.
He opened his eyes and he called " Spider man!"
Inside of rice ball, I put some broiled salmon, so these bento boxes are well balanced dishes.
I will make bento box for my grandchild every days. ( I don't know when my dream come true because my son is still single now)
I really think I am so lucky that I was born as a Japanese in Japan.
